From what began as an idea to supply durable clothing to miners during the height of the California Gold Rush in the mid 1800s, to the global leader in fashion it is today, the historic journey of Levi’s is one which remains true to its roots to this very day, producing stylish yet durable clothing for everyone. Much has happened since Levi Strauss enlisted the help of tailor Jacob Davis in 1873 when they combined copper rivet reinforcements with tough denim, leading to the first manufactured waist overalls – today we call them ‘blue jeans’. Levi’s® continues to produce its iconic line of jeans, including the famous 501™, which remain popular as ever among men and women, as well as denim shirts, but the range goes far beyond the denim fabric nowadays, with sweatshirts, t-shirts, hoodies, hats and much, much more all adorned with the famous Levi’s® name.
