Aura Que was founded by Laura Queening in 2008, combining her love of Asia and her creative skills, having gained a fashion degree at the London College of Fashion. The company uses traditional skills and local materials in Asia as much as possible, while aiming to encourage empowerment through work for the individual producers who make the products.

Each product at Aura Que is crafted in various charity handicraft units or World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) producer groups that employ local people that may be affected by discrimination or disabilities, providing an income for themselves and their families according to fair trade principles.
